FAQs
Your Pest Control Questions, Answered
Do you offer a wasp nest removal service?
Yes, our Gloucester-based team provides safe, efficient wasp nest removal service, even for hard-to-reach roof or garden nests.
Can I get emergency rodent control?
Absolutely. If you’ve spotted rats or mice, give us a call. We aim to respond the same day for all rodent pest control emergencies.
Are the treatments child and pet-friendly?
Yes. We only use licensed, regulated treatments and will walk you through any precautions and re-entry timings.
How quickly can you get here?
For emergencies, usually within hours. For scheduled work or maintenance visits, we offer slots throughout the week to suit you.
How much will the service cost?
Pricing depends on pest type, severity, and property size. We offer free quotes following an initial assessment. For most regular jobs, this can be done over the phone.
What hours do you operate?
We know that pest problems don’t keep office hours, so neither do we. Our team is available 24/7 for callouts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
What do you need from me to book a visit?
To get started, we’ll ask for a few quick details: where you’re based, what kind of pest you’re dealing with, how long the issue has been going on, and whether you’ve tried any treatments already. It also helps to know where you’ve seen the activity – like the loft, kitchen, or garden shed – so we can plan the right response.
Do you send more than one pest technician?
In most cases, one of our trained professionals can handle everything for you. For particularly large or complex jobs – like full-scale bird proofing or commercial site work – we might send two technicians to get the job done more efficiently. We’ll always confirm this with you in advance.
My house is spotless! How come I still have pests?
You’re not alone; even the cleanest homes can have pest problems. Rodents and insects don’t care about mess – they’re looking for warmth, shelter, food or water. Some can squeeze through gaps the width of a pencil. That’s why we don’t just treat infestations, we diagnose how they’re getting in, so we can help stop it from happening again.
How long will the treatment take?
Our visits aren’t time-limited; we stay as long as it takes to carry out the job properly. The duration depends on the pest, the size of the infestation, and the type of treatment we’re using. A small wasp nest might take just 30 minutes, whereas a rodent inspection and treatment plan may take a little longer.
What pests do you deal with?
We handle a wide range of pests, including:
- Rats, mice and squirrels
- Wasps (and wasp nest removal)
- Cockroaches, fleas and bedbugs
- Moths, ants, and beetles
- Birds (including nesting pigeons and gulls)
We also offer fogging treatments for widespread insect infestations and pest monitoring as part of our maintenance plans.
Is there a best time of year for pest control?
Pest control can be carried out year-round, but early spring is often the best time to get ahead of the game, especially for insects. Catching nests, colonies, and infestations early makes treatment quicker, easier, and more effective in the long term. For rodents and birds, prevention is important all year.
Do I need to be home during the appointment?
You don’t have to be home if we’ve made prior arrangements, just let us know when you book. For external work or planned maintenance, we can sometimes carry out the job without you there. For internal treatments, we’ll need access, but we’re happy to work around your schedule.
What if I still see pests after the treatment?
It’s not uncommon to notice increased pest activity in the days following treatment. That usually means it’s working. However, if the problem hasn’t settled within 7–10 days, let us know. We’ll talk you through the next steps and, if needed, arrange a follow-up treatment.
What areas do you cover?
We cover Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Worcester, Evesham and surrounding towns in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Get in touch to see if we cover your area!
